Leila Touil is a dynamic and highly trained Consultant Reconstructive Plastic Surgeon on the General Medical Council’s Specialist Register with extensive expertise in reconstructive facial and body surgery.
Miss Touil completed her medical training at the University of Leeds and undertook higher speciality plastic surgery training in the Northwest. She was competitively selected for an ‘Advanced Surgical Training Fellowship in Head and Neck Oncology Surgery’ in a high-volume unit in Norwich and undertook an aesthetics fellowship rotation in the Northwest. She has been trained and mentored by some of the most renowned aesthetic Plastic Surgeons in the UK and is committed to delivering personalised and high-quality care for her patients.
Miss Touil has a well-established NHS practice at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals, providing specialist services across the West Yorkshire and Harrogate Cancer Network for skin and head and neck cancer. She has experience in complex facial and neck surgery, microsurgery, trauma, skin cancer and facial reanimation. She leads the regional facial palsy service and has an intricate understanding of facial anatomy, often restoring function and aesthetics.
Miss Touil has a longstanding commitment to medical education and is an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at the University of Leeds. She has undertaken leadership and research higher qualifications and has published widely with over 15 papers in Peer-Reviewed journals and is editor and author of an anatomy book. Miss Touil also holds a national training committee role and is an Advisory Board Member for Doctors Academy (an international independent and innovative provider of medical education and training).
